Improving Programs for Justice-Involved Individuals with Fidelity Monitoring

The objectives of this course are to conduct simulated fidelity assessment and draft feedback for interventionists and stakeholders, draft an action plan for program improvement using simulated fidelity assessment feedback, and develop strategies for sustainable fidelity monitoring and program improvement.

The lessons of Course 4 will cover:

• how to establish the buy-in of stakeholders and interventionists prior to doing fidelity monitoring
• how to score and memo during fidelity monitoring
• how to provide feedback to interventionists and stakeholders
• how to interpret contextual factors that may impact the ability to implement programs with fidelity
• how to use learning collaboratives to address contextual impacts on fidelity monitoring
• and how to draft a fidelity monitoring action plan

Finally, we’ll look at strategies for sustainable fidelity monitoring and program improvement.

Several skill building activities are included throughout the course. After completion of the lessons and skill building activities, We will wrap up this course with a posttest. To finish up, we will preview Course 5 of the series, provide relevant resources and a bibliography.

This course is designed to benefit researchers who are interested in conducting experimental and clinical trials of interventions and criminal justice professionals and healthcare professionals who are interested in implementing evidence driven interventions in criminal justice and correctional settings. This series can also benefit healthcare professionals and para-professionals who work with people that have histories of criminal justice system involvement.
