New JCOIN Phase II Research Hubs and Support Centers RFAs
NIDA has announced four Request for Applications (RFAs) for JCOIN Phase II. The JCOIN Phase II Clinical Research Hubs will conduct clinical research and clinical trials. Each Clinical Research Hub must propose a multi-site clinical trial with at least three sites. Additionally, the JCOIN Phase II Innovation Hubs will conduct an innovative research project that aims to improve public health and public safety outcomes for justice-involved individuals who have SUDs or are at risk of overdose. Also, NIDA announced an RFA for the JCOIN Economic Research Resource Center (ERRC), whose primary purpose is to conduct, support, and disseminate cost and economic analyses to inform decisions about service delivery for individuals involved in the criminal legal system who are at elevated risk of overdose. Lastly, the JCOIN Phase II Community Engaged Research Resource Center (CERRC) grant will provide expertise and leadership in meaningfully and thoughtfully engaging individuals with a history of justice involvement in research.
